Slurry wall construction is more than 50% complete.
Slurry wall construction is more than 50% complete and is still on track to be fully constructed by this August. As a reminder, the slurry wall consists of a 3-foot wide trench that retains water in the mine cell for the future conversion into a water reservoir.
Silt fencing has been fully installed at the site and is in place to control soil movement as construction continues. It controls the sediments from construction activities and allows for adequate revegetation and restoration of the site when mining is complete.
